Rave March 1966

Rave Magazine March 1966

I've been scanning in a fair bit of my Rave collection over the last few days and thought I'd share this cover, it's one of my favourites.  I love the font and fish eye pic of a very young Eric Burdon.  It's mad to think this magazine is now 45 years old! Many more to come...

Is this a British music mag?

I was at a car boot sale last summer and bought a 1960's scarf off a seller, she asked if I liked that era as she'd just sold her entire collection of Rave magazines to a punter for £5....arghhh! Please keep sharing these snippets so I know what I missed out on. xxx

Psychedelicsister - Yep, it is a brit fashion & music mag for teens, ran until the early 70s. I love them they such a great snapshot of the 60s mod teen culture!

Vix - OMG, someone got a serious bargain. These mags can fetch up to £30-50 a piece as some have v rare music pics.

Oh I've never managed to acquire any 'Rave's, but I really must some day. Amazing photo of a slightly scary guy ;) xx

What a brilliant cover! I can't believe it's that old. I wasn't even born until 1969! Have a great weekend Becka xx

This is one of the two issues I own on this mag oddly! It's great a great piece, if I recall correctly, where "pop stars" talk about drugs and I think (?) John Entwistle spews some B.S. about only taking "pep pills" if they're presribed by a physician. I'd always wanted more issues of this mag but they've always costed a fortune!
