This month's Rave magazine cover comes from April 1967 and features the ever adorable Steve Marriott of The Small Faces wearing quite the superb white jacket which features some seriously tasty stitching & button action. I don't know why the dolly is so shocked... any ideas?

Stunned by his style, perhaps?
chaps?
The jealousy pours from from me....have you seen the '66 Rave cover w/ Marriott and Lane w/ a tailors dummy? I was looking at that in a SF's book last week and musing how cool it would be to own the issue (or the boating blazer Marriott is wearing). Second only in my "Rave" cravings to the '65 Georgie Fame cover!!
I do own the dummy one too, but I only collect from 1966 so don't have the Georgie one! I'm in the process of scanning all the best covers in, def have some more Small Faces ones + the yardbirds one.
I do prefer that Eric Burdon "fisheye lens" cover that you put on several weeks ago, but you can't go wrong w/Stevie & Dolly (no tats or piercings on her).
Flowered trousers = WANT!
...and the loverly Steve too, of course!
He probably told her he was gonna flop it out for her inspection after....!! He's so cute, who'd object?!
1967-what a mighty fine year!
LOL, just read Helgas comment, I can't top that really!! Fabulous cover though my dear!! xx
Her mouth is sore cuz he flopped it out before the photo was taken! I love Helga's take too, obviously!! Nice scan, thanks for sharing!
Helga - you win.
Followed closely by Annimal.

Thanks, I couldn't have done it without Helga's fab mind gutter suggestion!! And I have given you the stylish blogger award on my blog, cuz I can and you are!!!!
Such a lovely blog, Smashingbird! The closest I've been to seeing the Small Faces was the Small Fakers at the 100 Club last year - they were actually really good and even brought in Stanley Unwin's son to do the Ogden's Nutgone Flake narrative bits... brilliant!
I've never seen such a young picture of Steve.
The Actor played me Ogden's Nutgone Flake after a big party one night. I actually thought I was in the 60's! Very trippy.
I want to know where the raver's holiday destinations are. Hope you have a lovely weekend xx
Annimal - you're a doll! I accept your award most graciously!
C - Thank you sweetie, I've heard of The Small FAkers but never seen them, that must have been amazing to have Stanley Unwin's son - how cool!
Christina - Odgen's is awesome, such a sweet little album too! I think the ravers holiday destinations were such glamorous resorts as Bournemouth and Bristol! Hmmm.
