Buffalo 66

I watched this for the first time the other day. I don't know how I've never seen this before because I love american indie type films. Best film I've seen in soo long.
I loved Vincent Gallo's costume, the red boots rocked. Christina Ricci is adorable, she has the most perfect doll like face. You wouldn't recognise Anjelica in a million years!
Oh, and any soundtrack which features Yes and King Crimson is ok with me.

60's Loveliness

I've been sorting out my pic folders and found these images, although recently I have been mostly been looking to the 70's for inspiration, I'll always love the fun aspect of sixties fashion and style, and can't help falling in love with it all again every time I look at pictures like these.

Photobucket
If I remember correctly some of these images are from the fabulous book Fashion in the 60's by Barbara Bernard - this is a must have for any fashion fan, it's got tons of classic pictures from Mary Quant, Biba, Foale and Tuffin, as well as great general style & advertising images. It's out of print I believe, but a copy does pop up on ebay now and again.

The Outfit Post

Last night my fella's band put on a night, I don't usually go to his gigs, but as he was DJing too I decided to go as I haven't been out dancing for ages. He plays 60s/70's rock n soul, real vinyl peeps, not on itunes! So I decided this little vintage Biba number needed an outing, I haven't worn a mini for ages (I feel like I'm getting too old to wear one!) and teamed it with original Biba boots too, gosh these are tight on the calves, but they fit really well and are quite comfy too, perfect for dancing! Blimey I look miserable in this pic, I had a fun night though!

Dress: Biba Navy Jersey Mini
Boots: Biba Petrol Blue Canvas Knee Boots
Jewellery: R Pendant from Etsy, Old England Chunky Gold Chain Watch,
Sarah Coventry Bracelet & Ring Set, other rings all vintage/antique.
